​About March of the Living

The March of the Living (MOTL) is an annual educational programme, which brings students and adults from all over the world to Poland, in order to study the history of the Holocaust and to examine the roots of prejudice, intolerance and hate.

March of the Living is an international organisation based in New York City. As there is no official organisation coordinating the MOTL in South Africa, the Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Centre volunteers to assist the international office in this regard - working closely with our sister centres in Cape Town and Durban, as part of the South African Holocaust & Genocide Foundation. We will be assisting with the facilitation of information, payments, delegate preparation for the trip and anything pertaining to the participation of the delegation from South Africa.
